"UPstrap" camera strap

I've always preferred "minimalist" camera straps. I heard good things about the "non-slip" camera and bag straps from UPstrap, a small company in Tallahassee, FL. I've been using the RF (small size) UPstrap with the K10D for the past few weeks. It's a nice strap, well-made, and the grippy, rubber pad definitely stays on your shoulder...even if you're wearing a nylon type parka. I have no connection with UPstrap and therefore am only sharing my initial observations using this strap...as a happy customer :-)

Here's the link to their website, if you want more info.

  1. I've been pretty happy with the included Pentax strap on my K100D. My only complaint is that a slightly longer one (maybe another foot total) would have been nice. The rubberized portion on the inside of the strap does a great job of keeping it from moving around.

Hi Ned, it's been nice to have met you at the Photoplus expo in NY. Thanks for explaining me about the K10D technology that day. Cheers.

  3. Hi Ned, Speaking of straps I saw the new K10D LTD edition with the leather/gold strap. Having 2 camera bodies already precludes me from considering another camera purchase. I was wondering if Pentax would make the strap alone available to the market? The supplied strap never made it out of the bag as I just used the straps that came with my PZ-1p's (the little pockets on those straps are perfect for carrying spare SD cards and should still be a feature of today's cameras).

On a side note, you're in marketing and I'm a sales rep. I'd like to discuss a recent disappointing experience at a local camera shop (Auth Dlr). If you have the opportunity to write directly I'll outline it for you. ptz1961@gmail.com. Thanks Peter

ok, thanks for your info. I'll give the UP classic a try, and hope that it also fits the K10.
